Shabu, guns recovered from 3 suspects in Taguig buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines — Police seized several guns and bullets and sachets of suspected “shabu”  (crystal meth) from three suspects in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Tuesday.

The Southern Police District identified the suspects as Joel and Rose Ann Enoc and a certain Christina Gonzales, who were the subjects of operation at Purok 1 in Barangay Central Bicutan at around 12:30 a.m.

Police recovered eight sachets of suspected “shabu,” P1,000 in cash, a digital weighing scale, a caliber .22 and its five bullets inside a holster, a plastic sachet with 16 bullets for a caliber .22, a caliber .45 and its magazine and seven bullets, and a sling bag containing a sachet of suspected “shabu.”

The suspects were brought to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Taguig City Police Station as drug charges, and a case of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition are being prepared against them. /ee
