MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook Ilocos Sur on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the temblor struck 25 kilometers (km) northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur at 3:27 a.m.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 28 kilometers and was felt in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte at Intensity II, according to Phivolcs.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks could be expected from the earthquake. /kga
