MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) urged voters on Sunday to watch senatorial debates so they could get information to help them choose their candidates.
“Manood tayo ng mga debate ng mga kandidato – yan ang isang paraan para makakuha tayo ng impormasyon at kaalaman na kakailanganin natin para makapili ng wasto sa darating na #MalayangHalalan. #VoterEd #NLE2019 #Harapan2019,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said in a Twitter post.

Senatorial debates between opposition and administration bets have been sponsored by various television networks.
Out of the more than 100 qualified senatorial aspirants, voters can only pick 12 bets.
Jimenez earlier reminded the public on the proper way to shade their ballots for the midterm polls set on May 13. /atm
