Typhoon ‘Wutip’ still outside PAR; fair weather expected
MANILA, Philippines — The weather bureau sees fair weather prevailing over the country on Sunday as typhoon “Wutip” (international name) remained outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it last spotted Wutip 1,815 kilometers east of the Visayas. It had maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 225 kph.
It continues to move northwest at 15 kph, the weather bureau added.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” was still affecting the country.
The Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and the provinces of Aurora may expect partly to cloudy skies with isolated rain.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds may be felt in extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, Pagasa said. /cbb
