MANILA, Philippines — Fire struck the Bureau of Customs (BOC) building in Port Area, Manila on Friday evening, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.
Fire Officer 1 Reiner Dela Rosa said the blaze started at about 9 p.m. at the BOC building near Gate 3 in South Harbor, Port Area in Manila.
The blaze was raised to fourth alarm after one hour. It reached fifth alarm at 10:11 p.m.
Firefighters are still putting out the blaze.
According to BOC Spokesperson Erastus Austria, there were no injuries reported during the incident.
As of posting, the BFP has yet to determine the cause of fire and cost of damage. /ee
