Poultry farm worker killed in Tarlac drug bust

CONCEPCION, TARLAC – A poultry farm worker was killed after he allegedly resisted arrest and engaged policemen in a gunfight during a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday evening.

Police said Ronaldo Garcia, 49, a resident of Barangay San Francisco in Mabalacat Pampanga, sensed that he was transacting with an undercover agent and fired at the policeman, who consequently retaliated.

Garcia died on the spot and police recovered from him a cigarette pack containing nine plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), said Concepcion police chief Supt. Redentor Ulsano. /kga
