SAN PEDRO CITY — The primary suspect in the killing of a make-up artist in 2017 was arrested in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province on Thursday.

Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, director of the Calabarzon police, identified the suspect as John Rondolf Ruperto, 25, a resident of General Trias City, Cavite.

Ruperto was one of the three suspects in the killing of Dindo Malig, a make-up artist to several television and movie actors, on November 12, 2017.

He said another suspect earlier surrendered to the authorities and identified Ruperto.

The police said Malig was having drinks with the suspects when they hit the victim in the head with a hammer and stabbed him in the body.

The suspects then dumped Malig’s body in Barangay Santiago in General Trias City, about 200 meters away from the victim’s residence, before fleeing with his personal belongings. Maricar Cinco/lzb
