Hugpong draws biggest crowd in Nueva Ecija sortie — Tolentino

CABANATUAN CITY — The campaign caravan of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) party arrived here on Wednesday afternoon, drawing “the biggest crowd” since the start of their campaign in Luzon, according to former political adviser Francis Tolentino.

Police have yet to give an estimate of the number of attendees in the party’s rally held at the grandstand of the state-run Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. But Tolentino, one of  HNP’s senatorial bets, said it was the most attended campaign rally among their provincial sorties.

Former Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa, re-electionist Senator Edgardo Angara, former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla, and former reporter Jiggy Manicad joined Tolentino in the campaign trail here.

Other HNP candidates sent their representatives.

HNP is the regional party of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who also serves as the party’s campaign manager.

On Feb. 12, the launch of the administration party’s campaign caravan in the City of San Fernando in Pampanga was attended by some 20,000 people. Police said the party drew 10,000 people in Vigan City in Ilocos Sur and 10,000 people in Laoag in Ilocos Norte on Monday.
