A contractor has sued former An Waray Rep. Florencio “Bem” Noel and his associate for their alleged failure to pay her services for supervising a P290-million housing project for survivors of Supertyphoon “Yolanda” in Tacloban City.
In an 18-page complaint, Divina Buñales accused Noel and Mary Ann Camulte of violating an agreement for the construction of 684 permanent housing units and a covered basketball court for residents of Knightsbridge at Barangay Camansihay.
Sen. JV Ejercito had visited the project site, which was regarded as a landslide-prone area, in April 2018 following reports that many of the structures were substandard.
Buñales said she was tapped by Noel and Camulte as their “industrial partner.”
