Palace: Duterte to sign into law Universal Healthcare bill on Feb 20

MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte is set to sign into law the Universal Healthcare bill on Wednesday, February 20, Malacañang said.

The measure, once enacted into law, would allow for a National Health Security Program that mandates universal health care coverage and benefits to all Filipinos.

During the scheduled signing ceremony, Duterte would also affix his signature of approval to the Revised Corporation Code, Philippine Sports Training Center Act, New Central Bank Act, creation of two legislative districts in Southern Leyte, and turnover of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) dividends. /kga
