Fire destroys 20 houses in Talibon town in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A fire of still unknown origin hit a densely populated area in Talibon town, Bohol on Sunday afternoon.

As of 2:00 p.m., at least 20 houses had been razed by the fire, two hours after it broke out in Sitio Pasil in Barangay Poblacion, according to SFO4 Teodorico Auxtero, chief of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Talibon.

According to Auxtero, there are at least 200 houses made of light materials in the area.

The BFP declared the fire out at 2:30 p.m.

As of this posting, the cause of the fire is still being determined. /atm
