Suspected drug pusher, gun runner dead in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY, Philippipnes – Two more crime suspects were killed in a series of police operations in Laguna province over the weekend.
In this city, Dionisio Corpin, who was allegedly involved in gun running, was killed in a reported shootout at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday in Barangay (village) Cuyab.
Laguna police director Sr. Supt. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said Corpin was shot during the shootout and died on the way to the Amante Hospital.
In separate message, city police chief Supt. Giovannie Martinez said Corpin was also involved in robberies in Barangay San Antonio, here, and in Barangay Tunasan in adjacent Muntinlupa City.
The police recovered from him a .45-caliber pistol.

Doroja allegedly opened fire when he realized he was dealing with the police.
Matta said recovered from Doroja were a .38-caliber revolver, ammunition, and 12 sachets of suspected “shabu” worth about P19,500. /cbb
