MANILA, Philippines — Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile on Saturday downplayed the value of senatorial surveys, saying he would rather focus on campaigning for his candidacy in the May 2019 elections.

“I never bothered to be involved in these surveys. I never subscribed in any surveying group,” Enrile said during the Saturday Forum at Annabel’s Restaurant in Quezon City.

“The only survey that matters to me is on election day. May nananalo dun, may natatalo. That is the deciding game,” he added.

Enrile, who is seeking a Senate comeback as an independent candidate, said: “This is my seventh try for the Senate.” /atm
