Magnitude 3.5 quake hits Leyte
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit the province of Leyte on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The updated report said that the quake happened at 3:12 p.m. and its epicenter was located seven kilometers southwest of Capoocan, Leyte.

Phivolcs report said that an Intensity III tremor was felt in Ormoc City following the initial quake.

Despite this, the agency said that no aftershocks and damage are expected.
The tremor had a depth of focus of seven kilometers and it was tectonic in origin. /jpv
