SAN PEDRO CITY — Two men suspected of pushing illegal drugs were killed in a buy-bust in San Pablo City in Laguna province on Saturday afternoon.
Laguna police director Sr. Supt. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said the city police’s anti-drug unit conducted the buy-bust in Barangay (village) Santiago 2 at 1:20 p.m. against suspects Miguelito Manalo and Pastor Barcenas.
But the suspects opened fire in an attempt to flee, forcing the policemen to shoot them down.
The police recovered from Manalo a caliber .38 gun while from Barcenas a .45 caliber pistol.
