PMA exec to alumni: Majority of public trust us

BAGUIO CITY — Lt. Gen. Ronnie Evangelista, superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), welcomed some 6,000 alumni members during their homecoming at the Fort del Pilar here on Saturday.

He said the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other uniformed personnel still enjoy the trust of the majority of the public.

He said many of the PMA alumni hold positions in the government that are “in decision-making levels.”

Evangelista also said that the integrity of the armed forces set them “above normal standards” despite being considered a minority in the community.

He then told the crowd, “Welcome home.”

PMA’s Class of 1989 serves as the lead host class for this year’s alumni homecoming.

Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu (Class 1970) is the guest of honor. PNP Chief Director Gen. Oscar Albayalde (Class 1986) will be one of the awardees during the homecoming. Inquirer Northern Luzon/lzb
