Poe continues to dominate Pulse Asia’s senatorial survey

MANILA, Philippines — Re-electionist Sen. Grace Poe remained the top choice of Filipino voters for the Senate in the coming May elections, results of the latest Pulse Asia survey released Friday revealed.

The survey, conducted from January 26 to 31 using face-to-face interview, showed that Poe getting a 74.9 percent voter preference.

Administration-backed re-electionist Sen. Cynthia Villar ranked second, with 60.5 percent voter preference.

Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano (53.3 percent) and former senator Lito Lapid (53 percent) took the third to sixth spot in the ranking.

Senator Nancy Binay had 50.1 percent voting preference and Senator Sonny Angara scored 48.8 percent shared the third to ninth spot.

PDP-Laban bet Senator Koko Pimentel (45.5 percent) was at the fifth to 11th spot.

Tied at the sixth to 12th spot were Bong Go (44.7 percent) and former senator Jinggoy Estrada (44.3 percent).

Meanwhile, opposition bet Mar Roxas settled for the seventh to 14th spot with 41.8 percent voter preference.

Ilocos Norte Gov. Marcos ( 41.2 percent) and former Senator Bong Revilla (40.2 percent) were both in the seventh to 15th spot.

The survey has an error margin of ± 2.3 percent. /ee
