SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, Philippines — Two days after their handshake during a campaign rally, re-electionist Senator JV Ejercito said on Thursday that his relationship with his half-brother and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada remains the same.
“Pareho lang. Ganoon pa rin (It’s still the same),” Ejercito told INQUIRER.net as he attended the campaign rally of the ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) here as a guest candidate.
Aside from the unexpected handshake, the two even raised each other’s hands during Tuesday’s campaign sortie launched by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) in Pampanga.
Both Ejercito and Estrada, who reportedly had a feud over the Senate race, are being endorsed by the presidential daughter’s regional party.
“Tingnan natin. Hindi ko alam (Let’s see. I don’t know). We’ll see how it goes,” Ejercito said. /je
