MANILA, Philippines — Half of Filipinos said they are happy with their love life, a recent survey result of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) revealed on Wednesday.
According to the survey, 51 percent of adult Filipinos said they were very happy with their love life, while 36 percent said they could be happier and 13 percent said they did not have a love life.
This was lower than 2017 SWS survey with 57 percent who said their love life was very happy and 29 percent said it could be happier and 14 percent said they do not have a love life.
SWS conducted the survey from Dec. 16 to 18, 2018, using face-to-face interviews with 1,440 adults aged 18 years old and above nationwide — 360 each in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The sampling error margins are ±2.6% for national percentages and ±5% each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the survey also bared that there were more single women than single men who had no love life — 59 percent compared to 43 percent.
Men and women in the 25-and-above bracket said they were happier with their love lives.
Among men in the 25-and-above bracket, 53 to 58 percent said they were happy with their love life. The figures are higher than the 39 percent in the 18-to-24 bracket who said they were happy with their love life.
Among women in the 25-to-54 bracket, 47 percent to 59 percent said they were happy with their love life. The figures are higher than the 43 percent
in the 18-to-24 bracket.
The December 2018 also survey asked: “Alin po sa mga ito ang naglalarawan sa inyong “love life” o buhay- pag-ibig? (Napakasaya, Sana mas masaya pa, Walang “Love Life” o Buhay-Pag-Ibig).
