Pyromusical competition moved to SM Clark

MANILA, Philippines – The 10th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition has been moved to Clark in Pampanga from Pasay City due to the ongoing Manila Bay rehabilitation project.

In a statement released on its Facebook page, SM Supermalls said on Tuesday that instead of having the annual fireworks competition at the Mall of Asia grounds, this year’s competition will be held in Angeles City, Pampanga

“In full support of the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program of the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), SM Supermalls will move the 10th PIPC from SM Mall of Asia to SM Clark,” SM said.

“We seek the public’s support and understanding as we strive to still provide the same enjoyment as we have over the years,” it added.

This year’s edition of the pyromusical competition is scheduled from February 23 to March 30.

On January 27 this year, the government started to rehabilitation of the heavily polluted Manila Bay.

About 5,000 individuals joined the solidarity walk at the start of the rehabilitation campaign. / gsg
