MANILA, Philippines – A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Occidental Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its latest earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs traced the quake’s epicenter at 88 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 4:01 p.m.
The earthquake, recorded at 4:01 p.m., was of tectonic origin had a depth of 48 kilometers.
Kiamba and Alabel in Sarangani felt the tremor at Intensity I.
Phivolcs warned of possible aftershocks. / gsg
