SAN FERNANDO CITY, Philippines — Amid a reported feud, reelectionist Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada raised each other’s hands at the campaign caravan of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) on Tuesday.
The two sons of Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada, who reportedly had a feud in the run-up to the 2019 senatorial race, are among the 13 candidates being endorsed by the presidential daughter’s HNP.
Both shook hands when Estrada arrived on stage at the Pampanga Capitol Compound in San Fernando City where the event was being held.
In his speech, Ejercito mentioned his half-brother Estrada before the crowd.
“Ilang taon kaming hindi nagkamayan, sa inyong harap lamang [namin ginawa]. [Former Senator] Jinggoy Estrada! (We have not shook hands for how many years, but we did it before you. Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada!),” Ejercito said. /cbb
