DID YOU KNOW: 2nd week of February is National Press Week
National Press Week is observed every second week of February by virtue of Proclamation No. 191 signed on Jan. 9, 1964, by then President Diosdado Macapagal.
It aims to make people appreciate the vital role of the press in the community and national life while promoting a press that is free, militant and fearless in upholding people’s rights. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
