Suspected drug pusher killed Cavite shootout

SAN PEDRO CITY – A suspected illegal drug peddler was killed in a police operation in Cavite City over the weekend, police said Monday.

A report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police said suspect Roderick Jardio, alias “Nonoy,” 33, was the target of a buy-bust around 9:20 p.m. Sunday in Barangay (village) 48A.


Jardio allegedly resisted arrest by shooting at policemen, who consequently returned fire.

Jardio died while being rushed to Bautista Hospital in Cavite City.

Police said they recovered from the suspect a .38 caliber gun and a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth). /kga
