Tricycle driver killed in Pangasinan road crash

DAGUPAN CITY— A tricycle driver was killed on Sunday night after a passenger bus rammed his vehicle in Alaminos City, Pangasinan, police said.

Authorities identified the fatality as Bernard Bautista Jr., 30, who died while being rushed by rescuers to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos.

Police said the bus was traversing the westbound lane of the Alaminos-Sual Road in Barangay Cabatuan when the tricycle suddenly crossed the road around 10:25 p.m.

Bautista succumbed to body injuries while the bus driver, Raquel Dela Cruz, 40, is now under police custody, police added. /kga
