5 Lotto jackpot winners in 6 days in February — PCSO

MANILA, Philippines – February 2019 has indeed been a lucky month for Lotto bettors.

It is only halfway through the month but five people were already millionaires after bagging the millions-worth of jackpots of Lotto games, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said Monday.

In only a span of six days, the PCSO has announced five millionaires and has given away over P46 million in jackpot prizes.

“Katatapos ng Chinese New Year nung February 5. Meron na naman tayong limang bagong milyonaryo sa pagitan ng anim na araw,” PCSO) General Manager Alexander Balutan said in a statement.

Balutan said the latest winner won the over P5 million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw last Saturday, Feb. 9. The winning ticket was bought in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.

Last Friday, Feb. 8, a bettor from Borongan, Eastern Samar, bagged the P8.9 million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 after guessing the winning combination of 30-16-25-26-31-10.

The day before, Thursday, Feb. 7, another bettor won the Lotto 6/42 jackpot of P18,836,826. The ticket was bought in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

And last Monday, Feb. 4, two winners bagged the P13,301,01 jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45. The tickets were purchased in Las Piñas City and Los Baños, Laguna.

The PCSO noted that there were nine lotto jackpot winners last January.

It also said that the odds of winning in the lotto draws were one in 5,245,786 for Lotto 6/42; one in 8,145,060 for Mega Lotto 6/45; one in 13,983,816 for Super Lotto 6/49; one in 28,989,675 for Grand Lotto 6/55; and 1 in 40,475,358 for Ultra Lotto 6/58. /cbb
