Woman arrested after stabbing saleslady in front of Pasig home

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was arrested after she stabbed a saleslady in front of the latter’s home in Pasig City due to a previous dispute which stemmed from a still unidentified reason.

The Pasig City Police Station (CPS) said that the victim, Girlie de Guzman, 24, was standing in front of her home along San Agustin St., Bolante II, Brgy. Palatiw in Pasig City when the suspect, 21-year-old Chrisa Peralta, confronted her at around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The suspect then suddenly pulled out a fan knife during their confrontation and stabbed the victim on her left side, police noted.

Pasig CPS chief, PSSupt. Rizalito Gapas told INQUIRER.net said that an off-duty Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) officer who was around the area responded to the incident and arrested the suspect.

De Guzman was rushed to the Pasig City General Hospital for medical treatment where she is currently under observation.

Meanwhile, Peralta will undergo inquest proceedings for unjust vexation. /je
