Cops nab 5 in 2 Legazpi City ’drug dens’
LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives dismantled two suspected illegal drug dens and arrested five people in simultaneous anti-drugs operations on Thursday night in this city.
The authorities also seized P272,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in the anti-drug operations in Barangay (village) Tinago carried out around 11:30 p.m., said Christian Frivaldo, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) acting Bicol director.
Arrested were Analiza Magnaye, 47, and her sister Alona Llorca, 50; Louie San Juan; Justine De La Rosa, 22; and Angeline Bodopol, all residents of the said village, Frivaldo said on Friday.
Frivaldo said in an interview that Magnaye and Llorca were subjects of a search warrant for operating suspected drug dens and for illegal drug possession.
At the raid in the Magnaye residence, PDEA operatives seized six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams worth P102,000.
At Llorca’s house, PDEA operatives also confiscated 20 sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.
