4 drug traffickers fall in Quezon buy-busts
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested four suspected drug pushers in three separate buy-bust operations in Lucena City and Candelaria town in Quezon province on Thursday.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Gary Lacdao, 44, after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police intelligence officer who acted as poseur buyer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Malabanban Norte in Candelaria around 6 p.m., Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said in a report.
Authorities seized from the suspect four sachets of shabu weighing a total of 21.15 grams.
Police tagged the suspect as one of the few remaining big-time drug traffickers in the locality.
Earlier, Candelaria policemen also arrested Francia Concepcion, 28, in another buy-bust operation in another part of the same village around 5 p.m. The suspect yielded three sachets of shabu weighing 3.39 grams.
In Lucena City, the Quezon police drug enforcement unit busted Vida Amor Cañedo, 33, and Napthalie Mangubat in Barangay Isabang early Thursday. Police recovered six sachets of shabu weighing 8.27 grams.
