National Board of Canvassers has yet to receive COCs for Feb. 6 BOL plebiscite
MANILA, Philippines — The National Plebiscite Board of Canvassers (NPBOC) has yet to receive the certificates of canvass (COCs) for the second round of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) plebiscite held on Feb. 6.
The NPBOC adjourned its session on Thursday for the canvass of the inclusion or exclusion of the provinces of Lanao del Norte and North Cotabato in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and will resume on Monday (Feb. 11) at 2 p.m.
The plebiscite covered voters from Lanao del Norte and 39 barangays in the six municipalities in North Cotabato.
The first round of the plebiscite was held in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the cities of Cotabato and Isabela last Jan. 21.
The BOL was then deemed ratified by the Comelec on Jan. 25 after getting more than 1.5 million affirmative votes.
