Magnitude 4.3 quake hits Surigao del Norte
MANILA, Philippines — Surigao del Norte was hit by a 4.3-magnitude earthquake on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said in its earthquake bulletin that the quake hit 48 kilometers southeast of General Luna, Surigao del Norte, at 8:38 a.m.
It had a depth of 12 km and was tectonic in origin.
No aftershocks or damage could be expected from the temblor, Phivolcs said. /cbb
