MANILA, Philippines — Two men notorious for robbery in different establishments in San Juan, Pasig, and nearby cities were arrested by the police on Wednesday.

Police said Ronel Guevarra, 25, and Gervy Magno, 37, were eyed in a series of robbery hold-up incidents in laundry shops, gas stations, spa, and restaurants.

Police said the two were arrested in Manila by joint elements of the San Juan City Police Station Investigation and Detection and Management Branch and the Cubao Police Station.

A report from the Eastern Police District on Thursday said the suspects yielded a caliber .38 revolver they allegedly stole from a security guard in a commercial building in San Juan City on January 28.

Also recovered from them were a blue scooter without a plate number, a laptop, and long sleeve suits, believed to be used during the conduct of their illegal activities.

The suspects were detained at the San Juan City Custodial Facility for proper disposition of their case. /cbb
