MANILA, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher was killed in an encounter with the police in Caloocan City Wednesday.
Police said they launched a buy-bust operation against alias “Anthony” in Barangay 12 at around 1:30 a.m., but the suspect allegedly opened fire upon apparently sensing that he transacted with a police officer.
The suspect, however, failed to hit the undercover policeman, who then retaliated and killed the suspect on the spot, according to a report from the Caloocan City Police Station.
Police recovered from the crime scene 13 sachets of suspected shabu, a caliber .38 revolver, its five bullets and spent shell, P120 cash, another P100 used as buy-bust money, and three spent shells for a caliber 9mm pistol. /je
