MANILA, Philippines — A fire razed 20 houses in a residential area in Caloocan City on Tuesday morning, city fire department reported.
In an initial report, Fire Officer 1 Ganry Cuenca said around 40 families were left homeless in a blaze that lasted for more than two hours
The fire started at 1:25 a.m. in Barangay 8 and reached until second alarm after two minutes.
It was declared under control at 2:40 a.m. and was extinguished at 3:28 a.m.
The estimated cost of damage is P150,000. However, the cause of the incident is still under investigation. /je
