MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte visited on Monday night the grave of his parents at the Roman Catholic Public Cemetery in his hometown Davao City to mark the seventh death anniversary of his mother.
Photos from his long-time aide, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, showed Duterte lighting candles for his departed.
Duterte arrived at the grave around 11:30 p.m. after meeting with the families of soldiers killed in the Jolo blasts and in an encounter in Patikul last Feb. 2, Go said. /cbb
