CIDG nabs cop who threatened girl in Southern Leyte

MANILA, Philippines — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Southern Leyte arrested a police officer who was caught with a minor inside a hotel on Saturday.

CIDG identified the suspect as PO3 Ramil Bilbao Aragon, 31, who is assigned at the Southern Leyte Police Provincial Office.

CIDG officers said the arrest came after the mother of the girl complained that the Aragon created a Messenger account using an old CIDG logo and sent threatening messages to the girl.

Aragon demanded to have “carnal knowledge” with the girl so that he would not post her nude photos on Facebook.

CIDG arrested Aragon at the Pension Motel in Barangay Tampoong, Sugod in Southern Leyte at 4 p.m.

Seized from the operation were an Oppo cellphone, two SIM cards, a USB flash drive, a Robust food supplement tablet, three lubricated condoms, his 9-mm service pistol, three magazines with 39 live rounds of ammunition, his PNP ID, and other personal IDs. /atm
