‘Shabu’ worth P3.4M seized from 2 suspected drug suppliers in Camarines Sur
LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-drug operatives on Saturday arrested two suspected illegal drug suppliers from Cavite province and seized from them P3.4 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) at a drug operation in Milaor town in Camarines Sur, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bicol reported.
Jane Christine Luzvi Nuevo, alias “Jing,” 32, and Marlon Luisse Espiritu, 23, both residents of Bacoor City in Cavite, were arrested after selling shabu to undercover agents along the Milaor-Naga bypass road in Barangay (village) San Jose around 11:45 a.m., Christian Frivaldo, PDEA acting regional director, said.
Frivaldo tagged the suspects as drug suppliers operating in Camarines Sur.
PDEA operatives seized from the suspects five plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing 500 grams with a street value of P3.4 million and a Ford Lynx vehicle used by the suspects in distributing illegal drugs, Frivaldo said.
Frivaldo, in an interview, said the confiscation of another 500 grams of shabu brings the drugs seized in various operations in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces during the past two weeks to P10.2 million./lzb
