Tricycle driver in Biliran yields firearms

ORMOC CITY — A tricycle driver was the first violator of a Commission on Elections gun ban for the May election in Biliran province after he yielded several firearms during a raid in his house in Barangay Baso, Cabucgayan about 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Cabucgayan Police Chief P/Insp. Vic R. Viros said Proseso Tanguihan, alias “Porsing,” 68, was arrested for illegal possession of firearms.

Recovered from him were a cal. 357 revolver loaded with six ammunition; one cal. 38 revolver loaded with four ammunition, one fired cartridge case for cal. 38, and one unit RG9 Cal 8mm K with one magazine loaded with four ammunition. Robert Dejon/lzb
