Cops seize 19 loose firearms from Nueva Ecija man

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —— Police on Friday seized at least 19 undocumented firearms with ammunition in Jaen town in Nueva Ecija.

Authorities discovered the cache while serving a court-approved search warrant against Roderick Mauricio at Barangay Langla in Jaen, said Chief Supt. Joel Coronel, Central Luzon police director.

The warrant was for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.

Seized were different calibers of pistols, air guns and an undetermined number of ammunition for different calibers.

Members of the Regional Intelligence Division-Special Concern Unit and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 served the warrant against Mauricio.
