Arroyo spokesperson arrives in St. Luke’s Taguig
MANILA, Philippines—Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s spokesperson Elena Horn arrived here at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City early Friday to accompany Arroyo in her scheduled transfer to the government-run Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City Friday.
Horn, who arrived around 5:30 a.m., said that while they also didn’t know the exact time of their departure, she said that they would make sure that Arroyo would eat her breakfast first.
She said that Arroyo would definitely be transferred by land this morning, unless the Philippine National Police changed its. plan.
She said that former First Gentleman Miguel Arroyo, their children, and some friends would be joining the convoy to VMMC.
“He [Miguel] was here since last night with their granddaughter,” she said.
Horn also said that the presidential suite in VMMC was ready, including the comfort room which they earlier complained about, except that they haven’t transferred Arroyo’s clothes in the closet because they were not allowed to go inside the room Thursday.
Meanwhile, she said that while her boss was doing better these days, Arroyo worried that her bone disease might come back because she wasn’t able to get an examination.
