MANILA, Philippines–The Makati City Regional Trial Court has rescheduled the promulgation of the drug case filed against a suspected member of the notorious Sinaloa Mexican drug cartel.
Citing the need for further study, the court has rescheduled the promulgation on Feb. 13, 2019.
Alleged Sinaloa cartel member Horacio Hernandez Herrera was present before the Makati Court. He is represented by a lawyer from the Public Attorneys Office (PAO). He is currently detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig.
Hernandez who arrived in the country on Oct. 28, 2013, was allegedly tasked to conduct illegal drug deals in the country through a joint operation with a Chinese drug ring.
He was arrested in a buy bust operation in 2015 where authorities seized 2,265 grams of cocaine worth around P12-million. /muf
