MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3 earthquake struck near the coast of Cagayan on Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its initial bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the temblor hit 39 kilometers (km) southeast of Gonzaga, Cagayan at 3:52 a.m where Intesity I was felt.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 19 km.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage could be expected from the earthquake. /cbb
