CEBU CITY — At least P9 million worth of suspected shabu were confiscated from a kitchen staff of a fast food restaurant in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City.
Leonorman Tabal, 25, was arrested inside his rented apartment in Sitio Nazaren, Barangay Tinago.
Waterfront Police Station operatives confiscated 1.45 kilogram of shabu worth P9.8 million.
Senior Insp. Joemar Pomarejos, Waterfront Police chief, said they considered Tabao a high-value target.
“He is the subject of our buy-bust. We have been monitoring him for two weeks,” said Pomarejos.
Pornarejos said they were still investigating Tabao’s source drugs, especially his claim that his close friend owned the shabu.
Tabao claimed that he was only asked by his friend named “Jude” to watch over it.
“I know it’s drugs. But I am not into illegal activities. I was only asked to watch over it and guard it,” said Tabao./lzb
