Drug suspect shot dead in Pampanga shootout

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—A suspected drug peddler was killed by policemen in a shootout during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Mabalacat City on Monday.

Andrei Amurao fired at the lawmen when he suspected that he was transacting with policemen who acted as buyers, police said.

Police recovered from the suspect a .38-caliber revolver loaded with ammunition; three spent shells; seven 9-mm caliber spent shells; 19 sachets containing suspected “shabu” (crystal meth); a cellular phone; illegal drugs paraphernalia; and the P1,000 marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
