MANILA, Philippines — Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to help in the Jolo bombing investigation.
“I have directed the NBI to join the investigation. It’s mass murder and desecration of a place of worship,” Guevarra told reporters as he condemned the act that killed around 20 and injured more than a hundred.
“Our NBI field operatives in Zamboanga have already been sent to assist in the investigation, and additional law enforcement units have been deployed to hunt and bring the perpetrators to justice,” he added. /cbb
