IBA, Zambales — About 1,000 people here on Saturday held a fun run to call for a safe and peaceful 2019 midterm elections.

The activity, dubbed “Pulayo (let’s run) for Hope 2019,” aimed to promote awareness for “honest, orderly and peaceful elections.”


Officers from the Zambales Police Provincial Office spearheaded the fun run that was also participated by municipal election officers, soldiers, firemen, Philippine National Red Cross volunteers and representatives from the President Ramon Magsaysay State University, local government units and other stakeholders.

The fun run started at about 5 a.m. at the People’s Park Capitol Grounds here and covered the town hall and Zambales Sports Complex, the organizers said. /atm
