MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Tourism (DOT) on Tuesday clarified that it is not in any way related to or associated with the WOW Pilipinas party-list group.

“This is to inform the public that the Department of Tourism is not in any way related or affiliated with WOW Pilipinas partylist,” DOT wrote on its official Twitter page.

According to its official Facebook page, WOW Pilipinas is the “leading tourism sector party-list and advocacy in the Philippines which champions opportunities and job creation through sustainable, quality, and modern tourism development and local community empowerment.”

The tourism department said the party list group “goes against the apolitical and non-partisan nature of the agency whose primary mandate is to promote Philippine tourism.”

The agency also reminded that all official communication can be accessed in its official website and official social media accounts. /gsg
