‘Amang’ weakens, now an LPA; but rain to continue

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression “Amang” has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on Monday night but rain will continue over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

The Bicol Region, Easter Visayas, Caraga, the Davao Region and the provinces of Camiguin, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain due to the trough of the LPA, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday morning.

The LPA was last spotted 195 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon and the Visayas.
