According to the Bureau of Immigration, from January to October 2018, the agency barred 3,528 foreigners from entering the country.
Nearly 3,000 of them were turned away at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City, Metro Manila, while the rest were intercepted in the airports of Mactan, Clark, Kalibo, Aklan and Davao.
Chinese nationals topped the list of excluded aliens with 1,508, followed by 262 Indians, 151 Americans and 138 Koreans. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
