Cops nab student with marijuana inside Lucena high school
LUCENA CITY—Police arrested a 19-year-old high school student in Lucena City for alleged illegal possession of marijuana on Monday, police said.
Joel Sedilla, a student of Quezon National High School, was found carrying 6.22 grams of dried marijuana leaves stuffed inside his school bag at 12:20 p.m.
Earlier, a source called the police hotline to inform them that Sedilla was putting marijuana leaves to a glass tube inside the computer room of the said school located in Barangay Ibabang Iyam.
Responding policemen coordinated with the teacher adviser of the suspect who reportedly voluntarily submitted his bag for inspection in a meeting held at the faculty room.
Authorities recovered five pieces of plastic that contained marijuana with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P311. Delfin T. Mallari Jr./lzb
